Hutchinson Sexual Assault Investigation 23 Oct 12

Hutchinson Police have released more information on the report of sexual assault Monday morning in the 400 Block of Northwoods Avenue Northeast.

Authorities say a teenaged girl was letting her dog out at about 6:00 a.m. When she was contacted by a male in her yard who stated he had a knife. Investigators have learned the suspect attempted to bring the girl to a nearby wooded area. The girl was ultimately able to flee the area, return to her residence, and call police.

The suspect, who was unable to be located, is described as a white male with slender build, 6’2” – 6’3” tall, mid to late 20′s, wearing dark pants and a dark hooded sweatshirt.

The victim was transported to Hutchinson Area Health Care by a family member to be evaluated for minor injuries.
