Victim Identified in Grain Elevator Fall 29 Oct 12

Authorities have released the name of the 28-year-old man who died after a 60-foot fall from a grain elevator in Buffalo Lake over the weekend.

Andrew Burnett of New Ulm was a contractor working on an expansion project at the elevator when he fell on Saturday.

Several 911 calls were received concerning the fall at around 10:50 Saturday morning. Burnett died at the scene despite efforts to resuscitate him.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office and the Buffalo Lake Police Department will be assisted by the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
