Minnesota Department of Revenue Commissioner Myron Frans will hold a tax reform town hall meeting in Hutchinson today (Thursday).
The forum will take place at 7 PM at the Hutchinson Event Center on Highway 15 South.
Officials say the forum will feature a short presentation about Minnesota’s tax system and will then open up for questions and discussion with elected officials, local officials, business leaders and the public.
Commissioner Frans will be interested in gathering input on:
- What fair taxation means
- What should we look for in a good tax system
- What can be done to simplify Minnesota’s tax system
The meetings are open to the public and area residents and business owners are encouraged to participate. This meeting is one of the many stops Commissioner Frans is making to gather tax reform ideas and input for Governor Mark Dayton.
