There will be a recount in the 2nd District Meeker County Commissioners race.
KWLM reports Meeker County Auditor Barb Loch confirming that information.
On election day, the race appeared to have ended in a 1069 vote tie between incumbent Dave Gabrielson and challenger Dale Fenrich, but last week it was discovered two ballots for Gabrielson in Litchfield Township had been stuck to each other and were counted twice. One of those votes was taken away and Fenrich was declared the winner.
Loch says Gabrielson had the right to request a recount, which he did Tuesday morning. The votes will be recounted today (Wednesday).
