The Hutchinson Tigers completed an undefeated season with a 67-7 win over Holy Family of Victoria. The Tigers rushed for 516 yards as team, 197 of those from Junior Tory Adams and 148 of those from Senior Mitch Petersen. Peterson and Senior QB McKinley Anderson both ran for 3 touchdowns each. The Tigers won their 4th state championship in school history, and first since 1998. Hutchinson scored 35 points in the second quarter alone in the rout, and their 67 points was only 3 points off a prep bowl record for most points scored by one team, and their 9.5 yards per play average was only 2 yards per play off that prep bowl record.
The team will have a welcome home celebration on Sunday (11/25) at 2 pm at the High School.
