The Minnesota News Network (MNN) reports jury selection is scheduled to begin Wednesday in the trial of a Hutchinson man accused of killing a Little Falls man in October of 2011.
37-year-old Jason Dominguez is charged with first and second degree murder in the death of 30-year-old Dustin Brown of Little Falls. According to the criminal complaint, Brown was shot seven times after the two got into an argument over drugs and money.
Browns’ family members told police Dominguez was pressuring Brown to do something drug related and he didn’t want to be a part of it.
The complaint goes on to show the day of the killing Dominguez’ girlfriend brought him back to the area where Brown lived and picked him up after the shooting. The girlfriend told police Dominguez admitted to her shooting Brown seven times and led investigators to where Dominguez buried the gun.
Investigators did recover the same model gun used in the shooting. Dominguez is facing life in prison if convicted.
