Henderson Man Arrested for Assault 18 Jan 13

A 22-year-old Henderson man was arrested in Hutchinson after an altercation in front of the Main Street Sports Bar Thursday night.

Just after 11, Hutchinson Police were called to a fight in progress at that location.  On arrival, police saw the suspect push a female, apparently his girlfriend.  At that time, an officer approached the suspect.  The suspect ran away at that time and the officer followed.  Eventually, the officer caught up with the suspect behind the Gold Coin restaurant.  Authorities say the suspect stopped, raised his fist at the officer, and then approached the officer in an “aggressive manner.”  The officer pushed him back and he began running away again.  The officer caught him and was able to put him on the ground at which time, the suspect punched the officer about three time.  The officer suffered only bumps and bruises.  Other officers arrived and subdued the suspect.  He was then arrested and taken into
custody.

Police are requesting felony 4th-degree assault, misdemeanor domestic assault, fleeing, and property damage charges through the
county attorney’s office.
