The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises no unnecessary travel in Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Meeker, Redwood, Renville and Yellow Medicine counties due to blizzard conditions caused by blowing snow and falling temperatures.
MnDOT says snow plow operators were removed from the roads at 6 p.m. and they will return early Tuesday, prior to the morning commute.
Officials do not anticipate any highway closures at this time, however, travel can be hazardous as motorists may encounter periods of zero visibility without warning.
