The 12-year-old New Prague boy accused of calling 911 to report a bogus school shooting last week has been released to his parents.
The New Prague Middle School student had been held in a juvenile detention facility since last Wednesday, after allegedly using his own cell phone to call in the phony report of a shooter with an assault rifle at his school.
Police, emergency responders and media swarmed the school, and officials canceled classes for the remainder of the day at district schools.
On Monday, the judge allowed the 12-year-old to be released to his parents on the condition that he have round-the-clock adult supervision.
The boy has been charged with felony terroristic threats. His next hearing is April 22nd.
