Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Superintendent Jeff Bertrang is scheduled to officially enter his resignation during a special GFW School Board meeting this (WED) evening, and the New Ulm District 88 School Board is scheduled to officially approve Bertrang’s hiring as that district’s superintendent tonight as well.
The GFW School Board meeting starts at 6pm at the Gibbon Campus. If the Board approves Bertrang’s resignation, which would be effective June 30th, the process for finding his replacement will be discussed.
The District 88 School Board meeting starts at 7pm, and the board is expected to approve hiring Bertrang to replace retiring New Ulm Superintendent Harold Remme, contingnent on the GFW School Board releasing Bertrang from his contract.
Bertrang was offered the New Ulm position last week following a series of interviews. He has been the GFW Superintendent for nearly 2 years.
