Driving Conditions Improving 11 Apr 13

Highways in south central and southwest Minnesota are being upgraded to mostly good to fair winter driving conditions.

Only Brown, Nicollet and Sibley counties have state highways that remain in difficult conditions.

MnDot Snow plows have been out since early morning hours and will continue “clean-up” activities throughout the day.

Motorist are reminded to give the plows plenty of room as the clear shoulders, cross overs and turn lanes. Snow plows can make unexpected movements for after storm clean up.

Motorists in areas of power outages should be alert to traffic signal that are out. Windom is currently experiencing loss of power.

Areas in southwest Minnesota with power outages have resulted in the closure of Rest Areas along I-90 including Adrian and Jackson and Highway 60 at Worthington.
