The Timothy Huber murder trial is scheduled to begin today (Monday) in Kandiyohi County District Court in Willmar.
Jury selection is first. KWLM reports the trial is scheduled to last 3 weeks.
The 47-year-old Huber, of rural Paynesville, is charged with 1 count of 1st Degree and 2 counts of 2nd Degree Murder for his part in the October 8th 2011 shooting death of 43-year-old Tim Larson of Albertville at Larson’s father’s farm in Burbank Township.
The incident occured after Larson had earlier had an argument with Huber and Huber’s father Delbert.
Last August, 82-year-old Delbert Huber, admitted shooting Larson and pleaded guilty to 2nd Degree Murder and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
The state is trying to prove Tim Huber knew his father was going to shoot Larson or even encouraged him to do so.
The Hubers are friends of Tim Larson’s father, Norman, and were friendly with Tim Larson until a disagreement over whether Tim Larson allowed strangers to hunt on the Huber’s property.
