After one day of jury selection in Kandiyohi County District Court, nine people have been selected as jurors in the first-degree murder trial of Timothy John Huber.
The 47-year-old Huber is charged with first- and second-degree murder for his role in the shooting death of Timothy Larson.
The West Central Tribune reports the productive day of jury selection had Judge Donald M. Spilseth advising jurors that they could begin hearing the case Thursday. The court had previously expected the selection process could take most or all of the week. Jury selection continues today.
Huber and his father, Delbert, were indicted on first- and second-degree murder charges in the case.
Timothy Larson, a teacher from Albertville, was killed Oct. 8, 2011, on his father’s rural Belgrade property after a confrontation with the Hubers.
