Two Charged in Copper Theft 03 May 13

Two men have been charged in connection with the theft of copper in the former Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson.

41-year-old Bradley Thomas Henkemeyer of Eagan and 43-year-old Timothy Michael Wenisch of Hutchinson have each been charged with Felony 3rd-degree burglary and misdimeanor trespassing.

Authorities say the owner of the property, located at 135 North High Drive Northeast, became suspicious when he found copper wire stashed in an out-building. The owner told police he though the thieves would return to retrive the copper that had been taken out of the main building. They apperently did and police were waiting for them Wednesday night. The two were arrested without incident.

Wenisch also had an outstanding warrant from Dakota County for failing to appear on an original charge of driving after revocation.
