Mayor Proclaims Bike to Work Day 15 May 13

Hutchinson Mayor Steve Cook has proclaimed Friday, May 17th as “Bike to Work Day.”

Included in the Mayor’s proclamtion: Whereas, the League of American Bicyclists has established May as National Bicycle Month, the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota and the Mayor encourage all citizens to ride their bicycles to work, to the store, to the park, around their neighborhoods and with friends and family to promote the personal and societal benefits achieved from bicycling.

City Councilor Chad Czmowski, who owns a bicycle shop in Hutchinson, says if you do bike to work on Friday and are in the area, an event will be held at Library Square that includes a free breakfast (7am until 10am).

May is National Bike Month.
