Sibley County State of Emergency 28 Jun 13

The recent heavy rainfall around the area has led the Sibley County Board to declare a State Of Emergency for the county this week.

Parts of Sibley County received more than 7-inches of rain during the series of storms that swept through the area last Friday through Sunday.

The storms brought heavy rain and strong winds, followed by flash-flooding in many locations and causing road closures and downed trees as well as other significant damage to public property.

By declaring a State Of Emergency, Sibley County can now be eligible for State and Federal emergency disaster relief funds.
