The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for
southern and east-central Minnesota into west-central Wisconsin.
Forecaster Tony Zaleski says it will likely be in effect through
9 pm Thursday. He says a large area of high pressure will remain
nearly stationary, with temperatures in the low- to mid-90s combining with dewpoints in the low 70s.
Zaleski says overnight lows for the next couple of nights will
only dip into the 70s.
Relief is expected when a cold front comes through Thursday night.
