Watertown Disqualified from 7C Playoffs 30 Jul 13

Big Changes to the Region 7C Amateur Baseball Tournament today.  Watertown has been disqualified from the Playoffs for using an ineligible player.  With the elimination of the Devils, the Mayer Blazers have been given the final spot in Regions, after the Blazers lost to Watertown last week.

The Watertown roster was frozen and none of their players were eligible to be drafted, therefore the Teams in the North had to re-draft players.  All of the new draftee’s come from Glencoe.  Winsted again took Colt Trebesch, Waconia now drafted Stephen Wiblemo, New Germany remains with Jamie Paumen, and Mayer selected John Thell.

No teams in the South were affected by this change, although the brackets and opponents changed.

On Thursday, Plato will now take on Mayer, then Brownton will tangle with Winsted. ON Friday New Germany’s new opponent is Green Isle, and Young America will play Waconia.

Hear all the games on KGLB AM 1310, Jeremy Stender, Chris Dammann, Nate Gorr, and Josh Monahan will have the call.
