With more than 150 people in attendance, Tom Emmer opened his congressional campaign office on August 8th. Emmer was joined on the office’s rooftop patio by friends, family and supporters from around the sixth congressional district.
Emmer is running for the 6th Congressional District seat being vacated by Rep. Michele Bachmann.
“It was great to be there in support of Tom and his campaign for Congress,” said State Representative Joe McDonald. ”Tom is the best candidate to represent the values and interests of our district in Washington.”
Also present were State Senators Anderson and Brown as well as State Representatives Zerwas, FitzSimmons, Leidiger, Dettmer, Hertaus, and Abeler.
“It was inspiring for so many people from across the sixth district and beyond to be in attendance,” said Emmer. ”All of these party leaders, legislators, donors, activists and volunteers are citizens concerned about this country. They’re willing to take a stand to protect what’s important to them and help me bring a pro-growth message from Minnesota’s Sixth District to Washington.”
The office is located in Suite 112 of the Otsego Marketplace, at 9175 Quaday Ave. NE. It is open weekdays 8:00am – 6:00pm with plans to expand hours in the coming months.
