Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Renville County, South of Danube Monday morning.
According to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, 47-year-old Curtis Schmidt of rural Danube was southbound on County Road 1 and was struck broadside by a pickup traveling westbound on County Road 4. Schmidt and his passenger, 11-year-old Cameron Schmidt were extricated from the wreckage of their vehicle and flown to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale for treatment.
The driver of the pickup, 66-year-old Keith Kibble of Forrest Lake was taken to Renville County Hospital in Olivia for treatment.
The crash happened just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of County Roads 1 and 4, about eight miles south of Danube.
