McLeod County is currently updating the McLeod County All Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The update will replace the County’s existing Hazard Mitigation Plan, which was adopted in 2008.
Officials say the purpose of the plan is to identify issues and opportunities in preventing the loss of life, property, and services caused by natural and man-made disasters.
There will be a countywide public informational meeting on Wednesday (November 13, 2013), at the McLeod County Courthouse (830 11th St. East) in Glencoe in the Commissioner’s Room/EOC Room (lower level) beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Officials say the meeting will last between 60-90 minutes and refreshments will be served.
All interested parties are welcome to attend.
