A grand jury has indicted a Renville man on first-degree murder charges in the shooting deaths of his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend.
TheYellow Medicine County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 28-year-old Andrew Dikken on six counts of first-degree murder. Dikken then made his first appearance on the new charges Tuesday.
He was previously charged with two counts of second-degree murder for the September 2nd shootings.
Dikken is accused of shooting 26-year-old Kara Monson and her boyfriend, 28-year-old Chris Panitzke of Redwood Falls at Monson’s Granite Falls home. Monson died at the scene and Panitzke died of his injuries several days later.
Dikken remains in jail on $3-million bail.
He was arrested after a two-week manhunt.
