Hutch wins State Football Title for second straight year 29 Nov 13

The Hutchinson Tigers  won their second straight state class 4A Football Championship with a 49-7 win over the Academy of Holy Angels.  Hutchinson Junior Running Back Robbie Grimsley rushed 6 times for 261 yards, including first quarter touchdown runs of 76, 57, and 92 yards.  The 92 yarder by “RG5″ is a new prep bowl record for longest rush from scrimmage.  Senior Tory Adams chipped in 147 yards rushing and 3 TD’s, plus a 50 yard punt return for a Touchdown.  Defensively Keegan Macemon had 9 tackles to lead the Tigers, while Ryan Lenz had 8 tackles…4 of those for loss.  The win gives Hutchinson their 5th overall state championship (1983, 1984, 1998, 2012), and their 26th win in a row.  

Hutchinson will be hosting a welcome home celebration at 2 pm on Sunday at the High School (note time change from previous announcement)
