SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Jason Zucker (pronounced ZOOK-ER) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.
Zucker, 21 (1/16/92), has tallied 12 points (7-5=12) and 49 penalty minutes (PIM) in 16 games with Iowa this season. He ranks first on the team with four power-play goals, is second in goals and third in scoring. Zucker has registered 15 shots in six games with Minnesota this season and owns seven points (4-3=7) in 32 career NHL games with the Wild. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound forward was born in Newport Beach, Calif., and raised in Las Vegas, Nev. He was selected by Minnesota in the second-round (No. 59) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 16 with the Wild.
