Cassel wins Air Player of the Week 21 Dec 13

Eden Prairie, MN (December 20, 2013) – Vikings QB Matt Cassel was voted by fans as the FedEx Air Player of the Week after his performance in the Vikings 48-30 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15. The 48 points were the most offensive points scored in the 32-year Metrodome history.

Cassel finished the day 26-of-35 passing with 382 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding a rushing touchdown of his own. His 384 passing yards are the most by a Vikings QB since Brett Favre threw for a career-high 446 yards against the Cardinals on November 7, 2010.

Since taking over the starting quarterback role on December 1, 2013, vs. Chicago, Cassel has thrown for 890 yards, 3rd-most in the NFL during that span.
