McLeod County Authorities are looking for three men allegedly involved in an assault with a weapon that was reported Saturday evening north of Hutchinson, but apparently occurred two days before that, on Thursday, December 19th.
McLeod County Sheriff’s Communications Sergeant Jen Otto says they received a call at about 5pm Saturday from 46-year-old Keith Tupa of Hutchinson. Tupa lives at 21-416 Highway 15 and said he had been assaulted and shot in the leg. He told authorities his cell phone was taken and he had no other phone at the residence so he remained there until his brother visited him Saturday evening.
He was taken to HCMC in Minneapolis for treatment of fractures to his face and the gunshot wound to his leg, which shattered his femur.
Authorities are looking for 52-year-old Michael Ray Hugget of Atwater, described as having brown hair, chubby, and about 5’8” tall.
The two other suspects are described as Caucasian, about 50-years-old, one tall and skinny, with silver hair and a silver beard. The other described as having brown hair and a brown beard. All were possibly wearing jean jackets and left the scene in a 4-door, white Chevy pickup.
Authorities have no information at this time as to what led to the incident.
