Peterson named to Pro Bowl 28 Dec 13

Eden Prairie, MN (December 27, 2013) – Vikings RB Adrian Peterson was selected by players, fans and coaches to participate in the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl on Sunday, January 26, 2014. This marks his 6th Pro Bowl nomination in his 7 NFL seasons.

Peterson currently has the 3rd-most rushing yards in the NFL this season (1,266) and is tied for the 3rd-most rushing touchdowns (10). His 211-yard performance vs. Chicago earlier this season put him over the 10,000-yard mark for his career, becoming the 3rd-fastest player in NFL history to achieve the feat.

Peterson’s 6th Pro Bowl selection ties for him for 5th-most in Vikings history with 10 others. He trails only DT Randall McDaniel (11), DT Alan Page (9), WR Cris Carter (8) and T Ron Yary (7) for most in team history.

In 2010, Peterson set a Pro Bowl record for career rushing touchdowns with 4.
