Two search warrants executed at a Darwin home Friday yielded arrests on assault and drug charges.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says at 9 a.m., they and the CEE VI Drug Task Force assisted the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office and the Hutchinson Police Department in the execution of a search warrant at 102 North 3rd Street in Darwin.
They arrested a 54-year-old male on probable cause first degree felony assault for an earlier incident in McLeod County. That suspect was taken to the McLeod County Jail.
During the search of that residence, evidence of illegal narcotics was discovered, and a second search warrant was issued and executed at approximately 11:50 a.m.
Subsequently, a 58-year-old female was arrested at the residence on felony controlled substance-methamphetamine charges. She was taken to the Meeker County Jail.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
