Buffalo Facility Penalized by MPCA 17 Jan 14

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has penalized a Buffalo, Minnesota photo-etching facility for violations of the company’s state-issued water-quality permit.

Dentim, Inc., doing business as ETCHIT, will pay an $18,000 penalty for not complying with the terms of its permit that required the company to monitor its process wastewater discharge, report results to the MPCA, and pre-treat its wastewater to remove heavy metals before sending it to the city of Buffalo’s wastewater treatment plant.

The company is submitting plans to the MPCA on how it will ensure it complies with its permit in the future.
