The income tax filing season is underway.
The Minnesota Department of Revenue began accept individual income tax returns Friday for tax year 2013. Taxpayers will have until April 15 to file their tax returns.
Officials are urging taxpayers to direct deposit your refunds and file your return electronically.
Terri Steenblock, with the Department of Revenue says filing electronically can reduce errors, which can lead to a bigger refund. She also says you may be able to get you refund twice as fast.
