The man accused of murdering a fellow patient at the Minnesota Security Hospital in St. Peter has been moved from the Nicollet County Jail to a maximum-security facility in Stillwater.
32-year-old Darnell Dee Whitefeather has been charged with 3 counts of murder for allegedly killing Michael Francis Douglas at the security hospital last month.
Authorities say Whitefeather has been relocated to the prison in Stillwater due to the availability of psychological services there. He will be returning to Nicollet County for court appearances, after which he will be transferred back to Stillwater.
Whitefeather’s next court date is April 9th
