Northstar Baseball to add 4 to HOF 26 Mar 14

 

The Northstar baseball league has announced their 2014 Hall of Fame honorees.  Four will be honored this year including: 

Former pitcher Todd DeMarais of Maple Lake.  DeMarias played 23 years and holds the league record allowing only 4 walks in a single season.

Former hitting standout Todd Traen of Delano and Loretto.  Traen played 22 years, was named MVP in 1990, and the batting champion in 1997.

Former Pitcher and Hitter Rick Habeck from Monticello.  Rick played 18 years and also pitched for St. Michael, Maple Lake and Albertville.  He holds a lifetime .305 average at the plate, and was named the leagues top pitcher twice. 

Former IF/Pitcher Brandon Schliinz from Maple Plain.  A clutch hitter and pitcher in his 15 years, he won the Most Valuable Pitcher award in 2003. 

Each will be honored during a game in their teams home park this season.
