Windows in Hutchinson are being broken by vandals using marbles.
Over the past few weeks, Hutchinson Police have taken several reports of residents hearing loud noises in their homes and finding windows shattered.
Vehicles are also being targeted. Last week, a resident was parked on the north side of the Wal Mart parking lot, when he heard “loud smacks.” That vehicles’ rear widow was damaged, as was the rear door. A witness said he saw marbles rolling along the parking lot just after the incident.
The latest incident was reported Saturday evening. A resident living in the 600 block of Hassan Street Southeast reported a window on his Chevy Blazer was hit while it was parked, causing an estimated $300 damage.
The investigation continues.
