Two Arrested in Litchfield for Possession of Stolen Property 24 Apr 14

Two people, a 27-year-old man from Cosmos and a 35-year-old woman from Pennock, were arrested on charges of possession of stolen property and controlled substances after law enforcement officers served search warrants on Wednesday in Litchfield.
The Litchfield Police Department says multiple search warrants were served at 115 North Marshall Avenue by officers from the Kandiyohi and Wright county sheriff’s departments, Paynesville and Belgrade police departments and the CEE-VI Drug Task Force.
The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation for information on stolen property being sold on an online auction company.
The West Central Tribune reports both suspects are in the Meeker County Jail pending formal charges.
Stolen items from across the region, including the Willmar, Paynesville, Belgrade, Maple Lake, Redwood Falls and Litchfield areas, were recovered, along with an undetermined amount of marijuana and and synthetic marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia and packaging supplies.
The investigation is ongoing and the public is encouraged to report any recent thefts to their local law enforcement agencies. Multiple items were seized at the scene, which were not immediately identified.
