Pair Charged After Stolen Property Found 29 Apr 14

LITCHFIELD — A $27,000 diamond ring and machine shop tools identified as stolen in Kandiyohi County were found in a Litchfield business when law enforcement officers served a warrant on the online auction business last week.
The West Central Tribune reports 33-year-old Christina Marie Martinson of Pennock faces four felony charges: two counts of receiving stolen property and one count each of drug possession and storing methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child. She also faces a petty misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia. Her next appearance is June 16.
27-year-old Devin Delbert Donald Blom f Cosmos, faces five felony charges: two counts of receiving stolen property, two counts of drug possession and one count of storing methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child. He also faces a petty misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $200,000. His next appearance is May 8 in Meeker County District Court.
According to the complaint against Blom, the ring, along with other property, was reported stolen from a rural Kandiyohi County residence in January. In March, the burglary of a business in Willmar was reported to law enforcement and the theft included tools that had serial numbers that could be verified by an industrial supply company.
More than 100 items of confirmed stolen property were discovered inside and outside of the business, including the tools stolen from the Willmar business. Previous information released by law enforcement has identified the property as stolen from jurisdictions including Belgrade, Paynesville, Redwood Falls, Swift and Wright counties.
When he was questioned, Blom claimed the ring was purchased for $700 from someone he refused to identify. He allegedly claimed the drugs as his drugs and that he purchases items for auction. He also allegedly acknowledged that some of the items might have been stolen property.
