A special meeting of the Hutchinson Public Utilities Commission is being held this week to consider approving a contract for a new general manager.
The Commission will meet at 7am Wednesday to consider approving a contract with Jeremy Carter.
Carter is the lone candidate for the position and is currently the City of Hutchinson’s City Administrator.
Carter was offered a contract in early April and negotiations have been held since then.
The process began after the contract with former General Manager Michael Kumm was not renewed.
Natural Gas Division Director John Webster has been serving as interim general manager.
