A lockdown was initiated at Nicollet Public Schools Tuesday morning.
Nicollet Superintendent Jack Eustice says the emergency plan was activated after students found a shotgun cartridge in a boy’s locker room.
Authorities determined that there was no threat to students and staff, and the lockdown was lifted after about 30 minutes.
Parents were notified as well.
Eustice says that despite the brief scare, it is always best that if you see something, to say something.
