Unrest in the Middle East is causing prices to jump at the gas pump.

Triple A’s Gail Weinholzer tells MNN that she doesn’t expect prices to skyrocket too much. She says aside from the political situation in the Middle East, keeping an eye on the hurricane situation in the gulf during the summer months is also crucial in getting a good sense of what’s going to happen at the pump.

The average price for a gallon of unleaded in Minnesota is $3.61.

Gas in Hutchinson is ranging from $3.46 to $3.50 a gallon. Gas in Glencoe is ranging from $3.52 to $3.60 a gallon. The national average is at $3.66 a gallon, according to minnesotagasprices.com.
