A Kingston man is under arrest for allegedly breaking glasses, biting people and trying to bite a deputy at a Watkins bar.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Department says at 6:42 p.m. Friday they were called to Bud’s Bar in Watkins on the report of a fight. The deputy got there and saw two citizens were attempting to restrain 33-year-old Jerico Beith of Kingston. With the citizen’s help, the deputy was able to restrain Beith’s hands but he continued to resist and bit one of the citizens in the thumb and the second citizen in the wrist and tried to bite the deputy.
The two citizens were treated at the scene.
Beith was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital for lacerations and other injuries.
Investigators say Beith was drinking and began breaking glasses on the bar. He was escorted from the bar but later returned and began fighting with customers. As he was being escorted from the bar the second time, the fight broke out and law enforcement was called.
He’s now facing assault and other charges.
