Becker man chosen for Blue Angels 23 Jul 14

A Man from Becker is the newest member of the Blue Angels.  The U.S. Navy announced the officers selected for their 2015 Flight Demonstration Squadron team Tuesday.  Marine Major Mark Hamilton of Becker was selected as a C-130 Demonstration Pilot.  Hamilton is currently assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252 (VMGR-252) at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C.  Flight leader Commander Tom Frosch says Many highly-qualified Navy and Marine Corps officers submit applications to join the Blue Angels each year and they are proud of the team they selected for 2015.  The mission of the Blue Angels is to showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.  Since its inception in 1946, the Blue Angels have performed for more than 484 million fans.
