A Willmar man died as the result of a rollover accident on U.S. Highway 12 east of Kandiyohi Saturday afternoon.
40-year-old Quehubin Ramirez was pronounced dead at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The State Patrol says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Further tests are pending.
The Patrol says Ramirez was traveling west on the highway when his vehicle went off the roadway into the right side ditch and rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on its side. Ramirez was partially ejected from the vehicle.
The crash happened just after 3:30 and remains under invesitigation.
SPARTA, Wis. (AP) — Authorities in southwestern Wisconsin say a Minnesota driver is dead after his car crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle. A 10-year-old is in critical condition.
The Monroe County sheriff’s department identified the driver Sunday as 77-year-old Roger Beyer from Buffalo, Minnesota.
He was driving Saturday about 3:30 p.m. when his Honda Accord went over the center line in the Town of Byron. One driver swerved to avoid him and ended up in a ditch. Beyer then collided with another vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The 10-year-old in his car was taken to a hospital.
