WINSTED, MN – For Winsted residents who have ever thought about becoming a volunteer firefighter, now is the time to apply.
Fire Chief Chad Engel says they have seven openings. The department currently has 23 members – a full roster is 30.
The Herald-Journal reports so far this year, the Winsted fire department has responded to 150 calls, serving the City of Winsted, along with portions of Hollywood, Victor, Winsted, and Woodland townships.
Anyone 18 and older who’d like to become a firefighter can pick up an application at Winsted City Hall.
