A rehabilitation project on McLeod County Road 25 between County Road 62 and 1/2-mile south of County Road 26, south of Hutchinson begins today (Monday).
County officials say the project involves milling, bituminous reclamation, and bituminous surfacing. The reclamation is a process where machines crush the existing black top surface in place; that material is then used as the base course for new bituminous surfacing.
Officials say the road will be closed to thru traffic; there will be no posted detour in place.
Local traffic having business along the road will be permitted on the closed road and should expect a gravel type surface, minor delays, and inconveniences.
The project is expected to be completed around late September.
The $1.9 million project is funded with State Aid and County funds.
