A rural Gibbon man is in stable condition after getting caught in a grain auger Saturday afternoon.
The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office says 49-year-old Curtis Olson was transferring grain from one wagon to another. As one of the wagons was getting empty, Curtis said he leaned over the auger and it tipped up and grabbed him in the abdomen area. After that, Curtis said he didn’t remember what happened.
He was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale for treatment.
The incident was reported just before 4pm.
