Family of Missing Wright County Man Holds Search and Rescue Class 26 Sep 14

HOWARD LAKE, MN – More than 40 people attended a search and rescue class Wednesday, arranged by the family of Christopher Rossing, the Wright County man who has been missing for more than a month.

Deanna Villella, Rossings sister, told the Herald Journal that “We want to be more efficient, save time, and bring Christopher home soon.”

The class took place at the Howard Lake Legion.

The class began with a moment of silence for Rossing and his family, and was followed by a reading about the difficulty of searching for a missing person.

Class instructor Scott Doering said “I’m here to educate everyone about successful searching. It’s like adding tools to your toolbox.”

A Hutchinson man has been charged with kidnapping in connection with Rossing’s disappearance. 28-year-old Robert Otis Nuttall’s next court appearance is Wednesday.

Nuttall’s live-in girlfriend, 33-year-old Gwen Maria Butcher, has also been charged. She’s charged with aiding an offender.

Her next court appearance is October 23rd.
