Two Charged in Waconia Thefts 21 Feb 15

Two people have been charged in connection with thefts that occurred in Waconia last week.

Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson reports that on Thursday, February 12th, at about 7:00 AM, his Office received several reports of thefts from motor vehicles primarily on the east end of the city of Waconia.

Deputies responded to five reports of thefts from vehicles and one burglary.

Further investigation led to the recovery of a significant amount of the stolen items and the arrest of two suspects.

21-year-old Rhema Abraham Peterson and 19-year-old Tyler James Klemanhagen have been charged with felony theft and felony receiving of stolen property.

Sheriff Olson is asking residents to report any theft in which you have been a victim, no matter how small. He says evidence left by criminals can not only hold them responsible, but can offer authorities a chance to return your property to you.
