Vikings beat Bucs, lose Loadholt 17 Aug 15

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) —Teddy Bridgewater was sharp as the Vikings rolled to a 26-16 exhibition victory over the Buccaneers Saturday night. Jameis (JAYM’-ihs) Winston, the first pick in the 2015 NFL draft out of Florida State, had a pass intercepted by Antone Exum. The majority of Winston’s completions came in the second quarter when the Vikings had their backups in on defense. Bridgewater went 7 for 8 for 86 yards. Backup Shaun Hill finished 8 for 9 with 104 yards, completing touchdown passes to Cordarrelle Patterson and Adam Thielen.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Vikings right tackle Phil Loadholt has a significant injury to his lower left leg. Loadholt limped off the field after the second play from scrimmage for the Vikings on Saturday night in their exhibition game against Tampa Bay. Rookie T.J. Clemmings replaced Loadholt in the lineup.  It was reported that Loadholt tore his Achilles Tendon and will miss the year.
