Blomkest Roundabout Open House 08 Sep 15

An informational meeting to learn about a roundabout scheduled to be built at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and state Highway 7 near Blomkest will be conducted from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Blomkest Community Center.

It’s the second in a series of three open houses the Minnesota Department of Transportation is holding on the $1.9 million project to improve safety.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2017.

Offiical say there will be no formal presentation, but the latest design will be available and MnDOT staff will respond to questions and take feedback.

The community center is located at 101 S. Main St. in Blomkest.

Individuals who are not able to make the open house are encouraged to visit the website to view the layout and submit questions and feedback electronically.
