Update: One Dead in Carver County Crash/Victims Name Released 23 Nov 15

Authorities have released the name of the woman that died in a two-vehicle crash in Carver County Monday morning.

34-year-old Katherine Zika of Bloomington died at the scene.

According to the State Patrol, the Zika was driving westbound on Highway 212, lost control on the bridge over Bluff Creek, went through the median into the eastbound lane, and was hit by an eastbound van.

The driver of the van, 40-year-old James Gildea of Glencoe suffered non-life threatening injuries. His passenger, 27-year-old Ryan Miller of Winsted, also suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The crash happened at about 7:30am.

The State Patrol listed road conditions as icy at the time of the crash.
