Butcher Pleads Guilty to Obstructing Investigation 15 Dec 15

A Hutchinson woman has pleaded guilty to obstructing an investigation by aiding an offender after the fact in connection with the murder of an Annandale man.

Gwen Butcher entered the plea during a settlement conference yesterday (Monday).

A sentencing hearing is set for January 28th.

The 33-year-old Butcher was accused of aiding Robert Nuttall in the murder of Christopher Rossing.

Butcher had been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder, aiding and abetting kidnapping, as well as the obstruction charge.

According to court documents, investigators believe Butcher helped load Rossing into her vehicle after he fought with Nuttall in Howard Lake. Butcher drove both men out to her home southwest of Hutchinson. That was the last time Rossing was seen alive. Nuttall pleaded guilty to murdering Rossing at a hearing November and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
